Will Smith's girl Willow, nine, wins record contract

She's not even reached double digits and Will Smith's daughter has bagged her first recording deal.

Willow – the superstar's little girl with wife Jada Pinkett Smith – has been signed by Jay-Z's Roc Nation label, with her first single Whip My Hair already available online.

This year, the charismatic youngster had a crash course in red carpet appearances while touring with her brother Jaden, 12, as he promoted his remake of The Karate Kid.  Will Smith's girl Willow, nine, wins record contract
Rap mogul Jay-Z - who is married toBeyonce - has compared to her to a young Michael Jackson.

"She has a child's innocence but she has a clear vision of who she is and who she wants to be," he explained.

"I can only imagine that's how Mike [Michael Jackson] was as a young kid, he knew exactly what he wanted.

"When you have that sort of talent, there is no such thing as too young."

"I heard the record first before I knew that it was recorded by a nine-year-old and I was like, man that record's a smash," he enthused.
